Typically, the Colorado School of Mines holds a celebration for its donor in an event called the Evening of Excellence. During the pandemic, however, getting together with this group was out of the question. Mines decided to put together a special box to both thank their top contributors and, at the same time, make the public announcement of the MINES@150 fundraising initiative. It was my job to take care of everything from concept through production. This box-within-a-box was designed to hold a custom, Mines@150 journal, postcards from a Mines student artist, a wooden puzzle, and the campaign announcement and inspiration brochure, which I also designed and art directed. Both the design and production were detail-heavy and intensive, and the final product was nothing less than amazing.
