I first worked with Kevin, the owner of Pinche Tacos, on the identity for Crumb Rustic bakery, an offshoot of Spicy Pickle. When he left to start another venture he asked us to help him come up with an appropriate brand identity for a somewhat irreverent taco truck called Pinche Tacos (translating to “Fucking Tacos” but really just a term for street tacos in Mexico). We came up with the donkey and some rustic but sophisticated visuals and the rest is history.
Pinche Tacos serves up some out-of-the-ordinary tacos from an equally extraordinary trailer. With the trailer wraps we wanted something as bold and noticeable as the name. We opted for big, simple graphics that are hard to miss if you drive by it on the street. In a short time on the road, it already had a lot of people reporting sightings and getting excited about the whole idea.
